RESTORE TRUST, CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF MAKING A DIFFERENCE
The Restore Trust was set up in 2009 in response to a growing need in Buffalo City. The heart behind the Trust is the restoration of those in need by developing innovative responses to social problems which treat people of our city with dignity and respect.

Breath of Life: Impacting the lives of women in crisis pregnancies and the destinies of the unborn. This initiative was set up in the response to the lack of support for women dealing with crisis pregnancies and the high rate of abandonment of new-born babies. Mothers that were facing this crisis had to choose between termination and abandonment. The situation demanded a response and the Restore Trust launched the following projects under Breath of Life to meet this need namely, the Place of Safety where we have cared for 140 babies and Crisis Pregnancy Counselling where we have counselled 21,549 women to date.

So, this year we are celebrating our 10th birthday and giving God all the glory for what we have achieved thus far.

BROUBART SECURITY APPOINTED AT THE HUB
Broubart Security was appointed as the preferred security partner for The Hub earlier this year. They will be providing 24/7 guarding services, and although the commercial centre does not allow for access control, it will be Broubart’s commitment to ensure a safe environment for the businesses to operate in and clients to visit in. Broubart Security CEO; Andre Wood said it is their intention to regularly visit each tenant to ensure they are happy with the security services being offered, as each company has unique requirements and it will be our pledge to guarantee that the tenants feel safe, our guards are visible, the patrolling is regular and crime is eradicated.

THE ROTARACT CLUB OF GATELY STATIONERY DRIVE
The Rotaract Club of Gately is a group of young adults aged between 18 and 30 who wish to make a positive impact in the East London community. We aspire to see a change in our communities and take the necessary steps in ensuring that this change or development occurs. The Rotaract Club of Gately is a relatively new club as it was chartered in August 2016. Rotaract is a global organisation with over 10,000 clubs in 184 countries. For World Rotaract Week in March this year, the Club partnered up with the Eastern Cape Rising Sun and collected stationery items in a Stationery Drive for the African Angels school in Kwelera. In April, the Club visited the elderly at the Eldorado Retirement Centre for an Easter Tea. They will also be donating a water tank to the centre.
For more information of other projects the Club has been involved in as well as upcoming projects, visit their Instagram profile or Facebook page (Rotaract Gately) or contact Hennah on 081 283 5021.
